The purpose of the national ranking of higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic is to develop an independent system of evaluation of the activities of higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and educational programs according to the main criteria of the quality of educational, research and social services provided by higher education institutions, as well as the level of internationalization of education.

The national rating contributes to the growth of competitiveness of HEIs/educational services, provides public awareness of the degree of compliance of the quality of education with the requirements of the labor market and takes into account the specific features of the development of the education system of Kyrgyzstan.

Objectives of the national rating of HEIs:

- Obtaining objective data on the current state, and further development of the dynamics of success, positioning, prestige enhancement, competitiveness of the activities of higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of external expert assessment of their activities;

- identification of potential and problem areas for work to improve the efficiency of higher education institutions according to the obtained data for making administrative decisions;

- conducting a systematic assessment of higher education institutions' activities;

- measuring multilateral aspects of activity, stimulating its level, providing stakeholders and organizations with information about potential opportunities for providing educational services by higher education institutions;

- development of methods of evaluation of higher education institutions and educational programs.

The rating will allow higher education institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic to determine their positions, assess the level of competitiveness of the educational services provided, expand their employability, improve the image and efficiency of higher education institutions, attract more students, and most importantly - contribute to the quality of the national education system.
